Vandaites suttonensis

Taxonomy
Choristoceras suttonensis was named by Clapp and Shimer (1911). Its type specimen is GSC 7813 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 13703, Cowichan Lake, Vancouver Island, which is in a Rhaetian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Sutton Formation of Canada.

It was corrected as Choristoceras suttonense by Smith (1927) and Tozer (1979); it was recombined as Vandaites suttonensis by Tozer (1994).
