Deltoidospora hallii was named by Miner (1935). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Great Falls, which is in a Cretaceous mire/swamp coal in the Kootenai Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Deltoidospora.
