Balantioselena gairi
Taxonomy
Balantioselena gairi was named by Speden (1962). Its type specimen is NZGS TM 2771, a valve (left valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GS 7204, Corbie's Creek (H40/f7510), which is in a Ladinian marine sandstone in the Rabbiters Hut Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Balantioselena.
