Taxonomy
Palaeobrachaelurus aperizostus was named by Thies (1983). Its type specimen is SMF 7129, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moorberg, near Hannover, which is in an Aalenian marine horizon in Germany.
