Dyoidophragma was named by Duncan (1939) [Sepkoski's age data: D Give-l Sepkoski's reference number: 544,1034]. It is not extant. Its type is Dyoidophragma typicale.

It was assigned to Stenoporidae by Bassler (1953); to Trepostomata by Boardman (1960); and to Trepostomida by Sepkoski (2002).
