Taxonomy
Bakevellia (Maizuria) bundiensis was named by Skwarko (1967). Its type specimen is CPC 5065, a valve (right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is H157, 3 miles north-east of Gebal, which is in a Carnian marine siliciclastic in the Jimi Formation of Papua New Guinea.
