Taxonomy
Myophoria staggi was named by Skwarko (1967). Its type specimen is CPC 5079, a valve (left valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is H782, Bombu Creek, which is in a Carnian marine siliciclastic in the Jimi Formation of Papua New Guinea.
