Tubulifloridites was named by Potonie (1960) [Botanical affinity: Compositae]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Tubulifloridites antipodica.

It was assigned to Asteraceae by Potonie (1960) and Vallati et al. (2020); and to Eudicots by Vera et al. (2022).
