Chamaeleo bavaricus

Taxonomy
Chamaeleo bavaricus was named by Schleich (1983). Its type specimen is BSPG 1959 II 2066, a mandible (fragment of left dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sandelzhausen gravel pit, which is in a Langhian fluvial-lacustrine marl/mudstone in the Upper Freshwater Molasse Formation of Germany.
