Pristapenesia inopinata

Taxonomy
Dominibythus inopinatus was named by Prentice and Poinar (1996). Its type specimen is 7594, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (USNM Brodzinsky Lopez-Pena coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.

It was recombined as Pristapenesia inopinatus by Brothers and Janzen (1999); it was recombined as Pristapenesia inopinata by Engel and Grimaldi (2007), Engel et al. (2013) and Engel (2015).
