Taxonomy
Dianzhongia longirostrata was named by Cui (1981). Its type specimen is IVPP V 5072, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhangjiawa, which is in a Sinemurian terrestrial horizon in the Lufeng Formation of China.
