Taxonomy
Rhynchocerithium douglasi was named by Nützel and Senowbari-Daryan (1999). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ali-Abad reefs, Tabas area, which is in a Sevatian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Nayband Formation of Iran.
