Eucycloidea madagascariensis was named by Bandel (2010). Its type specimen is SGPH 4683 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West of Sakaraha (SGPHM coll), which is in a Jurassic/Jurassic marine siliciclastic in Madagascar.
