Taxonomy
Raphiosaurus subulidens was named by Owen (1842). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Cambridge (James Carter collection), which is in an Albian/Cenomanian marine horizon in the Upper Greensand Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Pachyrhizodus subulidens by Woodward (1901) and Amalfitano et al. (2020).
