N. R. Longrich et al. 2012Polyglyphanodon sternbergi and all species closer to Polyglyphanodon sternbergi than to any extant species. This taxon includes Borioteiioidea as defined by Nydam et al. (26). However, Borioteiioidea is a node-based taxon, whereas Polygyphanodontia is a stem-based taxon, and would therefore include any species which were found to lie along the stem of Borioteiioidea
