Taxonomy
Hybodus delabecheii was named by Charlesworth (1839). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lyme Regis (Higgins/Anning collection), which is in a Sinemurian marine horizon in the United Kingdom.

It was corrected as Hybodus delabechei by Day (1865), Woodward (1889), Casier (1959), Biddle (1993), Delsate and Duffin (1993), Duffin (1993), Delsate and Godefroit (1995) and Rees (1998).
