Taxonomy
Synechodus tenuis was named by Woodward (1889). Its type specimen is BMNH 9297, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rockhill Quarry, Maidstone Iguanodon, which is in an Aptian marine limestone in the Hythe Formation of the United Kingdom.
