Ponalex maximus

Taxonomy
Ponalex maximus was named by Sinitshenkova and Aristov (2012). Its type specimen is PIN 3840/875, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Isady Locality (Mutovino, PIN collection 3840), which is in a Wuchiapingian lacustrine siltstone in the Poldarsa Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Ponalex.
