Taxonomy
Hutchemys rememdium was named by Joyce et al. (2009). Its type specimen is YPM PU 16795, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Medicine Rocks Site 1, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial sandstone in the Fort Union Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Hutchemys.

Synonyms
  • Plastomenoides lamberti was named by Hutchison (2009). Its type specimen is YPM (PU) 16795, a partial skeleton (plastron and carapace+limbs and girdle), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Traweek Ranch, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial sandstone in the Fort Union Formation of Montana.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Hutchemys rememdium by Vitek and Joyce (2015).
