Taxonomy
Permaeschna dolloi was named by Martynov (1931). Its type specimen is PIN 2334/3(2), a forewing (apical two-thirds of a forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (PIN collection 2334), which is in a Roadian lagoonal sandstone in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
