Taxonomy
Catacoeloceras grangei was named by Stevens (2008). Its type specimen is NZGS CE 324 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS 1194, Ururoa Point (R15/f8005), which is in an Ururoan marine mudstone in New Zealand.
