Ascoporella was named by Kruchinina (1986) [Sepkoski's age data: P Asse-u P Guad Sepkoski's reference number: 1087,1241].

It was assigned to Cryptostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Rhabdomesidae by Gorjunova (2010).
