Taxonomy
Discoclavata dominicana was named by Poinar (2013). Its type specimen is OSU C-7-131, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic. It is the type species of Discoclavata.
