Taxonomy
Architipula turanica was named by Rohdendorf (1964). Its type specimen is PIN 371/1025, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ak-Bulak-Say, Sogjuta, Issyk-Kul (PIN Collection 371), which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Dzhil Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
