Taxonomy
Chulpasia jimthorselli was named by Sigé et al. (2009). Its type specimen is QM F50411, a tooth (LM 1 or 2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tingamarra Local Fauna - Boat Mountain deposit, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine claystone/sandstone in Australia.
