Chionoxyela nivea

Taxonomy
Chionoxyela nivea was named by Rasnitsyn (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 3800/58, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Khetana River, outcrop 1, sample 3381/101 (PIN collection 3800), which is in a Coniacian lacustrine mudstone in the Amka Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Chionoxyela.
