Intrapora was named by Hall (1883) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 509,1034]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Intraporidae.
It was assigned to Stictoporellidae by Bassler (1953); to Intraporidae by Simpson (1897) and Boardman et al. (1983); to Cryptostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ptilodictyina by Jiménez-Sánchez et al. (2010).
