Nothosaurus giganteus
Taxonomy
Nothosaurus giganteus was named by Münster (1834). Its type specimen is BT uncatalogued, a partial skull (skull fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oschenberg, near Laineck, which is in a Ladinian marine horizon in Germany.
It was recombined as Dracosaurus giganteus by Seeley (1869).
