Taxonomy
Gibbirhynchia gibbosa was named by Buckman (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South Petherton (BGS collection), which is in a Spinatum carbonate limestone in the Marlstone Rock-bed Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Gibbirhynchia.
