Gibbirhynchia northamptonensis

Taxonomy
Rhynchonella northamptonensis was named by Davidson (1878) [Rhynchonella tetrahedra var. northamptonensis]. Its type specimen is BMNH B.27324 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bugbrook, near Weedon (Davidson coll), which is in a Spinatum carbonate limestone in the Marlstone Rock Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Gibbirhynchia northamptonensis by Ager (1954), Ager (1962) and Alméras and Fauré (2000).
