Taxonomy
Palaeopsyche transversum was named by Sobczyk and Kobbert (2009). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Staatliches Museum fur Naturkunde (SMNS) collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Baltopsyche transversum by Sohn et al. (2012); it was recombined as Sucinopsyche transversum by Sobczyk (2011) and Sohn and Lamas (2013).
