Taxonomy
Perigeyerella obesa was named by Shen and Shi (2007). Its type specimen is NIGP 141628 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nantong Section, Bed 24, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
