Taxonomy
Productus mytiloides was named by Waagen (1884). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jabi, "Cephalopod Bed", Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine limestone in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Compressoproductus mytiloides by Tazawa (2011).
