Prototaria primigena

Taxonomy
Prototaria primigena was named by Takeyama and Ozawa (1984) [HUTE = Hyogo University of Teacher Education]. Its type specimen is HUTE 1001, a skull (skull and some postcranial elements), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Neotherium primigenum by Barnes (1989).

K. Takeyama and T. Ozawa 1984 medium enaliarctid genus with short rostrum ; P1 single-rooted, P2 double-rooted, P3 and P4 bilobed double-rooted, M1 three-rooted and M2 single-rooted ; lacrimal foramen present.
