Nothofagidites anisoechinatus was named by Menendez and Caccavari (1975). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is BAPB. Prep. pal. N° 502, a non-seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.
