Mesochrysopa zitteli
Taxonomy
Hageniotermes zitteli was named by Meunier (1898). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Solnhofen (BSPGM Munich coll), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Mesochrysopa zitteli by Handlirsch (1906), Martynova (1949), Adams (1967), Nel and Henrotay (1994) and Ponomarenko (2003).
