Taxonomy
Microborus inertus was named by Cognato and Grimaldi (2009). Its type specimen is AMNH Bu-1607, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (AMNH collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
