Taxonomy
Ovaloolithus tenuisus was named by Bray (1999). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UCM73463, an egg (eggshell fragments). Its type locality is Site 3, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the North Horn Formation of Utah.
