Carebara antiqua

Taxonomy
Pheidologeton antiquus was named by Mayr (1868). Its type specimen is No. 447/7733, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Erebomyrma antiqua by Wheeler (1915) and Piton and Théobald (1935); it was recombined as Oligomyrmex antiqua by Spahr (1987); it was recombined as Carebara antiqua by Radchenko et al. (2019).
