Xinjiangchelys chowi
Taxonomy
Xinjiangchelys chowi was named by Matzke et al. (2005). Its type specimen is SGP 2000/6, a shell (Almost complete carapace and right hypoplastron), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Urumqi, which is in a Callovian terrestrial horizon in the Toutunhe Formation of China.
