Lithurge adamitica
Taxonomy
Apis adamitica was named by Heer (1864). Its type specimen is V.S.4, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Oeningen (Zurich collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Lithurgus adamiticus by Cockerell (1909); it was recombined as Lithurge adamitica by Zeuner and Manning (1976).
