Liometopum palaeopterum

Taxonomy
Shanwangella palaeoptera was named by Zhang (1989). Its type specimen is 79051, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shanwang, Linqu County, collection 79/80 (Beijing Museum), which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Shanwang Formation of China.

It was recombined as Camponotus palaeopterus by Bolton (2012); it was considered a nomen dubium by Hong and Wu (2000); it was recombined as Liometopum palaeopterum by Boudinot et al. (2024).
