Ceratites nodosus

Taxonomy
Ammonites nodosa was named by Bruguière (1789). Its type specimen is PIMUZ L/1651 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wolfenbüttel, which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in Germany. It is the type species of Haaniceras.

It was recombined as Haaniceras nodosus by Douville (1879); it was recombined as Symboloceratites nodosus by Schrammen (1928); it was recombined as Ceratites nodosus by Spath (1934) and Rieber and Tozer (1986).
