Taxonomy
Ussurites detwilleri was named by Bucher (1989). Its type specimen is USNM 438372, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bloody Canyon HB 225, northern Humboldt Range, which is in an Aegean marine limestone in the Prida Formation of Nevada.
