Taxonomy
Dixa succinea was named by Meunier (1906). Its type specimen is GPIT 1312/1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Tubingen collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Paradixa succinea by Hennig (1966); it was recombined as Dixella succinea by Evenhuis (1994) and Greenwalt and Moulton (2016).
