Porina is a genus. It is extant. It is the type genus of Porinidae.
It was assigned to Cheilostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Porinidae by Canu and Bassler (1935), Stach (1936), Brown (1952), Bassler (1953), Brown (1956), Brown (1958), Lee et al. (1997), Schmidt (2003), Bock (2006), Guha and Gopikrishna (2007), Guha (2013) and Gordon and Taylor (2015).
