Taxonomy
Neoshumardites nassichuki was named by Kutygin and Ganelin (2013). Its type specimen is PIN 1802/252 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Munugudzhak River 11-3/VG-77, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Munugudzhak Formation of the Russian Federation.
