Jin et al. 2006Medium-sized, elongate, ventribiconvex shells, with high, rostrate ventral umbo; ventral and dorsal interareas relatively large, well defined; ventral sulcus and dorsal fold weak to moderately developed; delthyrium open. Costae subrounded, unequal in size, increasing anteriorly by bifurcation. Spondylium extending for one-half to two-thirds of shell length, V-shaped in cross section, bearing incipient comb structure at distal end; median septum extending for one-half shell length. Inner hinge plates very short, subparallel to, or basolaterally divergent, from each other towards valve floor; outer hinge plates longer. Crura rodlike, slightly longer than spondylium.
