Cupuladria was named by Canu and Basler (1919) [Sepkoski's age data: T Pale R Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is extant. It is the type genus of Cupuladriidae.
It was assigned to Membraniporidae by Bassler (1953); to Cupuladriidae by Scolaro (1970) and Wienrich (1999); and to Cheilostomata by Sepkoski (2002).
