Taxonomy
Leocrinus armatus was named by Kristan-Tollmann (1990). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S359, Steinbergkogel, west of Halstatt, which is in a Sevatian carbonate limestone in the Hallstatt Formation of Austria.
